VISITOR NOTIFICATION:  My career as a PRCA and CCPRA photographer has come to an end.  As mentioned in my interview with HORSE CANADA MAGAZINE back in 2023 when my COWBOYS AND RODEOS book came out, once rodeo losses its luster for me and my body and mind are no longer fully dedicated to the task, I’ll stop shooting.  That time has come.  The Oakdale and La Grange rodeos shot this year are my last hurrahs.  It has been a wild and artistically rewarding “ride” and I’m grateful to all who I have met and contributed to my journey along the way.  It takes a certain and dedicated mindset to shoot rodeo, as it’s a sport like no other.  It’s fast and furious, and a bit of danger and risk always lurks in the shadows.  I admire all who are able to shoot it, those who are always attempting to capture that unique and special moment, not measured in minutes or seconds, but in milliseconds and even microseconds.  Hat’s off to you all.  You deserve much credit for what you do.  You make the skill of the rodeo athletes, both human and animal, come alive.  Now, for me, on to a new photo adventure.  The genre is yet to be determined.  Stay tuned.
